Frequently Asked Questions
What file types can I share?
Any file type is supported — documents, images, videos, archives, executables, or any other binary. There are no restrictions on file format. The only limit is total upload size, which is set by the administrator (default 1 GB).
How long are my files stored?
Files are stored for 24 hours from the time of upload. After that, the transfer link expires and all files are permanently and automatically deleted from our servers. We do not maintain backups of uploaded content — once deleted, the files are gone.
Is there a file size limit?
The default maximum upload size is 1 GB per transfer. You can upload multiple files in a single transfer as long as their combined size does not exceed this limit. The recipient downloads each file individually with a real-time progress bar. For very large files, the LAN P2P transfer mode has no size limit since files are sent directly between devices.
Do I need to create an account?
No. SendMaster requires zero registration. There are no accounts, no passwords, no email confirmation, and no personal information collected. You upload a file, share the link, and that's it. The person receiving the file also needs no account to download.
How does LAN (local) sharing work?
LAN mode uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology to create a direct connection between two devices on the same Wi-Fi or local network. The sender gets a short code or QR code that the receiver scans or enters. Files travel directly device-to-device — they never leave your network or touch our servers. This makes LAN transfers both faster and more private than cloud uploads.
Is my file secure during transfer?
Cloud uploads are protected by HTTPS (TLS encryption) in transit and stored using an unguessable random token — only someone with the link can download your file. LAN transfers are end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC. We do not scan, analyse, or access the content of uploaded files. Files are automatically deleted after 24 hours with no backups retained.
Can the recipient download the file multiple times?
Yes. The share link remains active for the full 24 hours and the file can be downloaded as many times as needed during that window. The download page shows a count of how many times the file has been downloaded so far. After the link expires, downloads are no longer possible.
Does SendMaster work on mobile?
Yes — fully. SendMaster is a Progressive Web App (PWA) designed to work on any browser on any device, including iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can also install it to your home screen for a native-app experience. No app store download is needed.
